My interest in energy healing began in 2009, when Reiki found me. My mother had just died, and in an attempt to make sense of things, my sister and I found ourselves meeting with a medium. The medium was also a Reiki Master, she suggested that we attend her upcoming Reiki Level I workshop, she promised it would be a nice “girl’s weekend”.
I had never heard of Reiki, my life up to that point had been focused on my family and my career as an Information Technology Specialist. My mother’s death and my attendance at the Reiki workshop changed my life. A veil had lifted, and I wanted to know more, to understand, and experience life in a new way – the magic and miracles – the possibilities.
I could feel the energy in my hands, but my logical mind didn't understand it. It's interesting, there is a saying that when the student is ready the teacher appears; I found the Barbara Brennan School of Healing (www.barbarabrennan.com). Barbara Brennan, the school’s founder, was a former NASA physicist, who has devoted 30+ years to research and exploration of the Human Energy Field, and authored a number of books, including “Hands of Light.” I registered in the fall of 2010, and completed their 4 year program in 2014, earning a Bachelor’s of Science degree and the designation of Brennan Healing Science Practitioner.
I quit my Information Technology job in 2012 to devote myself to this new path – Energy Healing.
I am a registered Reiki Master Practitioner and Teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association (www.reiki.ca). In 2015, I updated my Reiki training to become a Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Master and Holy Fire Karuna Reiki® Master, and I am now offering Holy Fire workshops. In March 2016, I further upgraded my training to Usui/Holy Fire II Reiki and Holy Fire II Karuna® Reiki.
In addition to Reiki and Brennan Healing Science, I have studied Integrated Energy Healing, PSYSH-K®, Animal Reiki, Therapeutic Touch, Lifeforce Energy Healing®, Light Focused Imagination Therapy®, Past Life Regression, and most recently Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique (QHHT).
I love to learn, I love to share. My desire is to lend a hand, empowering others on their journey of self-discovery and whole person wellness.
When I'm not learning and sharing metaphysical topics, I am enjoying the company of my husband and our two pugs, Max & Jigs, or in my workshop creating stained glass pieces.
